Yesterday my transmission on my 1992 2WD Ford Explorer XLT laid a stripe of transmission fluid out my drive way (200 feet) and the car kept slipping out of gears. I took it into the Firestone and they said it was 5 quarts low on tranny fluid (dah!). They said they couldn't find evidence of an exterior leak. I convinced then to keep the car another day and test drive it again.
My questions are: (1) anyone know how much a rebuilt/new transmission for a 1992 2WD For Explorer XLT cost installed; and (2) and I guess I really don't have a second question; unless you know an awesome garage that is fair priced.
Who knew there's been a Togo's in Bellevue for twelve years??!!
Who knew there's been a Togo's in Bellevue for twelve years??!!, Needless to say, I had a pastrami. I've missed Togo's since I moved out if the Bay Area. If on a ten scale of sub shops, Subway is a 3 and Quizno's is a 5, Togo's is a solid 8. Go there.
Went tonight to see the Swedish band, The Mary Onettes, in an intimate show at The Sunset Tavern. They are a band I and my friends have been devouring for this last year. It was a freaking amazing set. Considering that their darkly intense sound is rooted in a sound of the early Eighties (Joy Divison, Echo & the Bunneymen, The Cure, and The Stone Roses), they were so fresh and exciting. I felt like I was twenty again listing to a band at the Berkeley Square.
"Ahhh Jeanie, I Don't even know how you could talk to that guy. I Mean like, he looked like a ... could hypnotize you like a cobra or something, you know. And the next thing you know you're out on the boulevard and you're dressed like The Pointer Sisters."
Just read how the Whitehouse has Laura Bush speaking against the Myanmar (I still prefer Burma) Government and how they had a "failure to meet its people's basic needs" after the cyclone that killed 10,000 plus.
That's so freaking awesome of our stoopid President; he couldn't (wouldn't) do a damn thing about New Orleans, but, he sends his wife out about this so he doesn't look like a bigger hypocryte (or a-hole if you prefer).
Geez. Like I should expect better, or anything, from this idjut.
Since my birthday I've been jonesing for my favorite type of cake - Lemon Chiffon Cake. Apparently it is no longer in fashion and I cannot find mixes anwhere. I's gone the way of a lo of my other my childhood favorites, oblivion.
